Llandudno has a strong thriving community at the heart of the town. The town, like any other, has a set of local amenities and events. One such event put on by the local people, working with the local authorities, they put on a show of events for every age and interest. One of the biggest events is the annual Victorian Extravaganza and Transport Festival, held every year in the centre of the town. For two days every year the high street becomes awash with victorian engineering, steam engines, fairground rides new and old, and it brings huge amounts of visitors to the town.
At other times of the year the community is still active, with a variety of sports clubs and social projects. Some of these include Llandudno Football Club, who play their football in the Cymru Alliance (the second highest football league in Wales), Llandudno Rugby Club, who play rugby in Division 1 North, and Tudno FM, Llandudno's Community Radio Station, that broadcasts in and around the Llandudno area.
