Lockdown is still in force over the UK with lots of uncertainty on when it will end. However, one thing we can do is book something that we can look forward to after it’s all over. Following on from our previous comment about transport links, it is also important that you choose a hotel that has sufficient parking available if you do decide to drive. If you do decide to use public transport make sure that there are taxis available in the area and get yourself clued up on costs – you may even find that you want to drive, especially if it is cheaper!
Rooms & Hotel Amenities
Staying in a hotel is more than just a sleep and shower situation. It is your home away from home and you’ll want it to be as comfortable as possible so that you can recharge your batteries for another day of exploring.
Your room needs to not only be comfortable but also have your basic necessities such as a hair dryer, TV, WiFi, safe, iron and even towels. Some rooms even come with extras such as a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities – perfect for when you arrive.

Hotel facilities can be endless. Anything from, bars, restaurants, spa and even a fitness centre. One thing we do recommend looking for at breakfast options. It’s one thing that will set you up for the rest of the day ahead.
Reviews & Recommendations
We can all tell by a hotel’s star status just how great it is, however, a hotel’s stars isn’t the only thing that you should bear in mind. Take a look at the hotel’s reviews before you go ahead to book. This will give a clear indication of what other customer’s stays were really like. There’s nothing better than having an honest and truthful opinion.
