Llanberis Track - PYG - Miners - Watkin Path - Rhydd Ddu. - Snowdon Ranger - Horseshoe

The quieter side of Snowdon.

Starting point - There is a large car park just to the south of Rhyd Ddu on the A4085
(GR 570 527)

Follow the track north out of the car park for approx 100m. Turn right onto a path which heads up hill. In around 1.5km after a ladder stile, turn left through a gate onto a narrow path (the path ahead takes you to the South Ridge) which climbs steadily over rougher ground to the edge of Llechog which overlooks Cwm Clogwyn. Go right along the edge of the cliffs and zig zag up to join the South Ridge. Cross the narrow col of Bwlch Main and then along the ridge initially on the righthand side then bear to the left all the way to the summit.
